AI checks and written drafts
Loading AI checker status…
When enabled, OpenAI checks explanations and drawings after the exact answer checker passes. Student account details stay on this server. Work itself may still contain personal information; a local text filter cannot identify everything in handwriting or pictures. Uncertain checks do not count as attempts or require teacher review. The Fractions Work Sample can offer private AI drafts when separately enabled. Teachers accept or edit drafts and save their decisions; AI drafts alone never release a grade. Guest practice and other tests use their existing checking rules.
Student approvals
When on, students must ask before starting or resuming tests and redos. Practice stays available when enabled. Approval applies to this assessment, this mode, and this sign-in. Signing in again requires a new approval.
Requests refresh automatically. Visibility switches still apply. Turning approval off allows students to start or resume without permission; turning it back on requires fresh approval.
Preview a test
Try or demonstrate any test as often as you like, including hidden tests. Preview runs never create student attempts or grades.
These filters apply to finished-test reviews and results. The class selection also applies to student accounts and approvals.
Results update automatically while this tab is visible.
Finished tests · quick review
Check each missed answer part, then finalize the review. All submitted tests, including earlier submissions, wait here before students receive a final grade and can begin or resume Redo. Saved work stays intact.
Test grade curve
A curve scales raw percentages so your chosen threshold becomes 100%, capped at 100%. It applies to every student taking the selected test, including other classes and future submissions. Answer points and Redo work stay unchanged. No emails are sent.
Choose one test in the Test filter to preview or change its curve.
Test results
Sorted by last name. Click a student’s name to open answers, scores, and grading controls. Raw test includes teacher scoring; redos so far includes points recovered even before redos are turned in. After curve shows the percentage and equivalent points out of the test total. Scores awaiting review are provisional.
Student accounts
STUDENT ACCOUNTS
Manage student sign-ins
Each account has one saved attempt per assessment. Students cannot register themselves. Create the name and username; students choose a password at first sign-in. Open Accommodations beside a student to enable smaller numbers, a calculator, or a two-answer redo requirement. Disabling an account stops access without deleting work.

Email notifications
When students submit a test or select “I'm done” in Redo, Math Lab emails Chris.gargasz@myhhcs.org. Messages include the student, class, assessment, scores, times, and a teacher-page link.
“Handed to mail server” confirms that the VPS accepted the message; it does not confirm inbox delivery.
